Natural History Week has been shortened by one day this year only.. Please note that NHW will begin on June 19 (a Saturday) and end on June 25 (a Friday).
Ellen Campbell, Holden, ME, has been attending Natural History Week conferences since 2002 and has been an active volunteer and participant. In retirement, Ellen is involved in a local land trust, Maine Audubon, and with several town committees. She is also an enthusiastic genealogist, birder, craftsperson, photographer cook and baker.. Ellen will be leading a beginners’ class in genealogy during NHW 2021.
Carole Baldwin, Skowhegan, ME, has been an active volunteer and participant at NHW conferences since 1998. Carole, a retired school counselor, is presently Chair Person for the Board of Directors at UMA Senior College where she also teaches an art class. Carole enjoys birding and exercise and generously shares her talents and enthusiasm with NHW. Look for Carole in the Art Room, where she is also NHW’s Art Director.
Lynne Haggerty, Washington Crossing, PA, has been an active volunteer and participant at NHW since 1989. A retired law firm manager, Lynne remains in touch with the legal community on a part time basis. Lynne is a botanical illustrator and currently President of the Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators. She also enjoys playing the harp and reading.
Rev. Larry Greer
Rev. Larry Greer is an ordained Interfaith minister, hospice chaplain, and mureed of the Inayati Sufi Order. He spent 25 years as a self-employed carpenter before hearing the call to end of life ministry. Larry completed a BA in Thanatology; his masters thesis is entitled “Presence: Ministry for the End of Life.” For the past 16 years Larry has worked with families of terminally ill patients.
Larry will be joined by his wife, Peggy Minkevitch Greer, a licensed massage therapist, certified yoga instructor, and spiritual companion. Together they own and operate Anam Cara Studio in Alfred. Married 41 years, Larry and Peggy are very involved in the lives of their two children and 4 grandchildren. They are avid gardeners who also love to read and travel. Larry has been a beekeeper for the past seven. Nature is an internal part of their spiritual path.
