NATURAL HISTORY WEEK, STAR ISLAND, JUNE 17 - 24, 2017

CO-SPEAKERS TIM DECHRISTOPHER AND BRYAN CAHALL

Our title is inspired by Native Americans who cherish and refer to the earth in this manner. Natural History Week has explored many aspects of our natural world. We have studied birds, butterflies, bees, mushrooms, flowers, turtles, whales and various animal behaviors. All living things are affected by climate change. Natural History Week will take a different approach in 2017 by viewing climate change in a positive, interesting and meaningful light. Our speakers this week will approach the subject in a unique and spiritual manner

Tim DeChristopher (www.bidder70film.com) is a naturalist, philosopher, environmentalist, activist and co-founder of Peaceful Uprising (www.peacefuluprising.org). Along with Tim we have invited Bryan Cahall, Bryan Cahalla singer-songwriter who has worked with Tim. Tim has inspiring, moving explanations and solutions to the climate crisis, while Bryan engages the group with music and song. Their unique presentation of words and music will be a transformational experience that will inspire us to protect our planet. Tim says “I always tell folks that we are at our most powerful when we are expressing our deepest personal truths – the power of music seemed magic to me. Singing together literally brings us into harmony and reminds us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.”
